Thank you for the clarity. Yes I understand it better. I haven’t experienced it consciously but what you’ve shared of your current experience on the Podcast puts this Dharma cookie in perspective. Mental body learning in service of the soul. Fascinating…

Glad that helped! And ironically, in the process of the ensoulment of the mental body, one generally fears they will "lose their mind" or at least become a lot less smart, which is the grip of the mental body talking. To the degree it ensouls, you actually get a lot smarter in counter-intuitive and non-linear ways that comes from the backlighting of the pre-dual that illuminates more detail about flaws in duality, as well as increased intuition that is a byproduct of mental body ensoulment.

So following the Dharma cookie about letting go of one moment to fully be in the next moment:

What is learning then? And is it of value?

That’s a great question and it depends on what you mean by learning, because there are lots of different things one can learn. But if it’s stored in the mental body, the more you embody spirituality, The more the experience becomes that you remember what you need to remember when you need to remember it in the moment, rather than leading with the mental concepts. It sounds like it could be just a semantic distinction, but it’s a completely different way of experiencing reality. Moment first, mind second. It’s very disorienting at first. Remember that the soul has a mental body, so of course mental body learning has value. The problem is just when the processing of reality is led with mind. Then that mental learning becomes in service of avoiding reality. That‘s what the identification with mind does.
